Keala Kanae Review: Are Fullstaq Marketing and AWOL Academy Complete Scams?

keala kanae

Every once in a while we need to address the elephant in the room. Which in this case is yet another affiliate marketing guru.

Keala Kanae is the latest big marketing guy who targets you with YouTube ads and shows you around his mansion. Since the moment Tai Lopez made his notorious “here in my garage” video, there have been tens, if not hundreds of marketing guys trying to repeat his success.

It has become kind of a stereotype to be honest. The guru first shows off his beautiful women, nice cars, huge mansion and maybe a stack of cash in order to get you hooked.

After that, he tells you that he used to be in your place. At the end of his free webinar, he tells you to buy his course. But hurry! It’s a limited offer.

Anyway, let’s leave that discussion for another day. Today, we will take a look at Keala Kanae specifically.

Are his courses legit? Or is it just the usual “bait and switch” type limited offer.

If you’re here in order to find out the answer to that question, then you’re in the right place! In this article, we will take a look over everything you need to know about Keala Kanae and his courses.

By the end of this post, you will be able to make an informed decision about whether or not you should invest in any of Keala’s products.

Let’s jump straight into it.

Who Is Keala Kanae?

Keala Kanae claims to be an affiliate marketing expert. I said “claims” because most of the money he makes doesn’t actually come from recommending products to people and making commissions.

In stead, he teaches others how to do that. So, he makes his money by … teaching others how to do affiliate marketing.

There are a lot of guys that make more money teaching affiliate marketing than actually doing what they teach. And there’s really nothing wrong with that.

Matt Diggity is a great example. He is an excellent teacher and his blog and YouTube channels are packed with valuable information.

Another example is Robby Blanchard, whose course is the best in regards to affiliate marketing with Facebook ads.

After going through Keala Kanae’s courses, it’s obvious that this guy doesn’t really know much about affiliate marketing. The only thing I can remember out of his courses is that there are a lot of upsells.

He basically wants you to buy as much as possible from him. This wouldn’t be a problem if his stuff would actually teach you something.

What you probably didn’t know is that Keala was involved in pyramid schemes at the beginning of his marketing journey. If you read my article about MLMs you are more familiar with the structure of it (it’s not a legit business model)

Now … let’s take a look at his courses.

Fullstaq Marketer

Fullstaq Marketer is Keala’s most recent course. It contains a lot of vague advice on how to be successful with affiliate marketing.

Also, it has a lot of motivational stuff. Which is nice.

I like the motivational parts of the course. If you’re a beginner, it can really boost your confidence and inspire you to take action.

You know … I really think that when talking about online business, 90% of your success comes from your mindset.

The rest is just tactics. Which shouldn’t be neglected, of course. But people go online and search for tactics thinking it’s the “end all be all”.

Most tactics work. You can make an affiliate blog (like this one) or run Facebook ads (like I do) and be successful. But not giving up is the difficult part.

If you don’t give up and keep going, you will succeed. If you get discouraged, well …. you go back to your job.

This course is better than Keala’s first course (stay tuned for that). Also, it’s a lot cheaper than that.

Keala does, however, make things sound much easier than they really are. The motivational stuff is great and you need motivation and determination to start an affiliate business.

The educational stuff is … basic.

Would I recommend Keala’s Fullstaq Marketer? No.

AWOL Academy – Is It Good?

If you’ve been in the online space for a couple of years already, you’ve probably heard of the Empower Network. It was created by Keala Kanae together with another friend of his.

The Empower Network didn’t last long. But that didn’t stop Keala to create a … very similar product, let’s say. So, he then went on to create his AWOL Academy course.

To be honest, the AWOL Academy is not a bad course. It teaches you how to find profitable affiliate products, how to drive traffic to your offers, how to create sales funnels, and so on.

It is the most comprehensive course that I’ve ever seen. It really contains much more than you actually need. To be honest, if you’re a beginner, you’ll probably get overwhelmed.

BUT here’s the catch. Keala doesn’t give you access if you just pay the base price. Which means … the course doesn’t work unless you give him more money. How much more?

Well … 40k more.

Yes, my friend. $40.000 for an affiliate marketing course. This is just … insane. I have never seen such a thing.

It’s the most expensive course that I know of.

BUT that’s not all. it’s $40.000 just for the course and all the up-sells.

Keala obviously tells you to buy the a couple of tools that are kinda mandatory if you want to make it work. Those will cost youan extra $2k-$3k more.

The biggest problem (apart from the 40k price of the course) is that Keala doesn’t really tell you how difficult it is to build a sustainable affiliate business. He makes it seem that it’s all fancy cars and nice houses.

The truth is that you need determination to not give up. There will be moments when you will feel discouraged and your brain will tell you to give up. You need mental fortitude to get past all those moments.

After all his YouTube videos I’m still not sure that he makes good money from affiliate marketing. What I know for sure it’s that he sells courses that are not cheap.

EDIT: AWOL Academy is now closed because of all the complaints. I wonder why …

Final Thoughts

Keala Kanae is to say the least … a shady guy. His Fullstaq Marketer course is decent and much cheaper than AWOL Academy. Still, would I recommend you go ahead and buy it? No.

For $40.000 with all the upsells, do I recommend you go ahead and buy the AWOL Academy? HAHA!

Only an insane person would pay so much money for an affiliate marketing online course. $40k? You mush be out of your mind.

If you’re interested in starting a legitimate affiliate business, I suggest investing in Robby Blanchard’s Commission Hero. It’s worth it.

Just be consistent and you will make it.
